2011 TeamChild Spokane receives a Partners in Justice Nomination by Lutheran Community Services Northwest for tireless work in seeking justice, advocating for and giving children a voice in the legal system.
2009 TeamChild’s Executive Director, Anne Lee, is honored by the MacArthur Foundation as a Champion for Change in juvenile justice reform for her determination to improve the lives of court-involved kids, their families, and communities.
2009 TeamChild King County receives a Certificate of Appreciation from Sound Mental Health, for dedication to the wraparound process and service on their interagency staffing team.
2008 TeamChild receives the Lee Ann Miller Award for furthering the goals of the Children's Justice Act.
2002 TeamChild Yakima is awarded the Community Peace Award by the local YMCA for scaling the "Mountain of Peace for Yakima Valley".
2001 Senator Patty Murray presents TeamChild with a Golden Tennis Shoe Award for making a positive difference in the community.
2001 The Washington State Bar Association presents TeamChild with the Pro Bono Award on behalf of the many attorneys who volunteer their time and expertise to the young people served by the program.
2000 The US Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention and the Juvenile Court Centennial Institute present TeamChild with the National Juvenile Justice Award, recognizing it as a national model for juvenile justice prevention.
1998 TeamChild receives the prestigious American Bar Association / National Legal Aid and Defender Association’s Clara Foltz Award for work on behalf of indigent youth.
Fellowships
2011-2013 Sarah Zier joins TeamChild for two years as an Open Society Foundations Soros Justice Fellow. She will be working with Pierce County youth while focusing on access to mental health services.
2006-2008 Chori Folkman joins TeamChild for two years as an Equal Justice Works Fellow to focus on truancy issues for youth in Snohomish County.
2005-2006 Jeannie Nist joins TeamChild for a year as a Skadden Fellow to work with youth in Pierce County and update TeamChild’s education advocacy manual. Jeannie continues to work for TeamChild as its statewide training and advocacy coordinator.
1999-2001 Brent Pattison joins TeamChild for two years as an Open Society Institute Soros Justice Fellow to work with King County youth with disabilities. Brent continues to work at TeamChild for another seven years as a staff attorney.
1999-2000 Kelly Warner-King joins TeamChild for close to two years as an Open Society Institute Soros Justice Fellow to expand TeamChild’s advocacy model to foster care youth.
1999-2000 Rebecca Pennell joins TeamChild for one year as a Skadden Fellow to work with youth in the Yakima Valley.
