TeamChild in Pierce County

TeamChild’s Tacoma office opened its doors in 1998 with support from Pierce County Juvenile Court and state funding.

Local Highlights

  • Thanks to everyone who attended our fourth annual Pierce County Breakfast on May 12, 2016. A special thank you to Kurt Miller and LaMont Green for their remarks at the event about youth homelessness, and to Debbie Regala and harpist Susan Haas. In addition, TeamChild would like to thank the following event sponsors: Connelly Law Offices, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company, Commencement Bay Corrugated, Gordon Thomas Honeywell, Law Office of Arlene Joe, Pacific Continental, Copy Wrights, C.I. Shenanigans, Homes on the Sound - Keller Williams Realty, Law Offices of Krupa & Clark, and Sound Credit Union.
  • TeamChild is excited about our ongoing partnership with the City of Tacoma, which continues to support our Pierce County office’s Wellness Project through their Mental Health Substance Use Disorder Collaboration. In 2015-2016, they also began supporting our work with youth in Tacoma through their Community Services funding.
  • TeamChild partnered with Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association Volunteer Legal Services Program to start a local juvenile record sealing clinic to make sure young adults have every opportunity to keep their lives on track. The clinic has been operating since October 2015.
  • Our legal services program in Tacoma has been supported by local foundations over the years, including Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation, the Forest Foundation, and the June & Julian Foss Foundation. Support from foundations and individuas is critical, as government contracts do not cover the full cost of providing quality legal services. Thank you!
